Handwriting-
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD IS FORMING THEIR LETTERS AND NUMBERS THE CORRECT WAY.
-
We will practice writing your child's first name, letters learned and sight words (words that are seen in books regularily. In January, we will practice last names and word family words.
Language Arts- We will focus on a letter or two per week (not in alphabetical order)
-
When a letter is introduced, your child needs to bring in an object that starts with that letter and say a few complete sentences about it. (This activity helps to develop speaking, listening and critical thinking skills.) Refer to classwork being sent home daily as to the current concept(s) being learned.
- I will send home a monthly calendar showing the "show and tell" days. PLEASE SAVE THE CALENDAR and refer back to it.
-
If your child is having any difficulty, please let me know!
Math -
At the beginning of each chapter, I will send home a parent letter explaining the concepts to be learned.
-
Classwork will be sent home. Review these pages with your child. Please check for understanding.
